Castel di Fosini        Tuscany, Italy

Hosted at Meadowsweet, a 2000-acre Tuscan nature preserve surrounded by roses and  permaculture gardens, TOUCH EARTH is a regenerative residency led by ceramicist Rachel Saunders.

Harmonizing the healing and creative benefits of holistic practices and working with clay in one of the most heavenly places on earth, this is an opportunity to regenerate your spirit, forge meaningful connections, expand your subconscious, and return home with newfound skills, insights, & inspirations.

Settle into life at the villa and experience the real dolce far niente.

dol·ce far nien·te Italian noun

  1. pleasant relaxation in carefree idleness

  2. The sweetness of doing nothing

In a balance between deep rest and exploration, TOUCH EARTH is a residency rooted in immersive hands-on workshops to further your creativity and connection to self and something greater.

A natural playground for the senses, Meadowsweet features a saltwater infinity pool, natural spring, and wood-fired sauna. Explore a world where life really is as sweet as it seems.

“This is a paradise that's difficult to leave.”

Time On the Land

During the residency, each day is thoughtfully crafted to offer ample free time for rest, creativity, and exploration. In addition, guests will also enjoy:

  • Three plant-based organic meals daily, featuring healing beverages and snacks, prepared by an acclaimed resident chef.

  • A traditional raku pottery workshop where you'll glaze and fire your own unique vessel to take home.

  • A hands-on cooking class to enhance your culinary creativity.

  • A crystal bowl sound healing journey to rejuvenate and harmonize your spirit.

  • A guided foraging walk through the forest during peak mushroom season.

  • A permaculture workshop in the flourishing gardens.

  • Meditation and yoga classes to nurture inner peace and well-being.

  • Commemorative TOUCH EARTH shirt & journal.

During free time guests can lounge by the salt water infinity pool, share stories around the fire pit, rub on locally sourced clay to detoxify their skin before rinsing in the natural springs, read a book in the apple orchard, practice yoga on the oak tree deck, explore the vineyards, hike to a waterfall or discover the many panoramic viewpoints of the property.

The Villa & Cottages

The beautifully restored cottages and villa of Castel di Fosini at Meadowsweet are abundant with character and authentic Italian charm. Each suite is complete with breathtaking panoramic views of the Tuscan hills, soft linen sheets, and tranquil decor that encourages peaceful dreaming.

Serene interiors blend seamlessly with the landscape of calming green, soft natural hues, a carved stone fireplace, and creamy stone floors throughout.
